Winter and Spring Projects

Most of my time is being spent finishing my doctoral dissertation, an orchestral symphony (look for the score in my list of uploads as "Symphony No. 1"). I managed to finish an orchestral arrangement along the way for my colleague Wayne Abravanel for the Coachella Valley Symphony, which will be heard on their March concert, an opera transcription for Dr. Wall in Michigan, and a few smaller jazz combo charts for a quintet in Switzerland.

A couple pieces of my music are being downloaded from this site every month - I would very much like to hear from you if you have played some of my music! I think this site (and others like it) are a great way to make musical connections and to find out about what goes on musically in other parts of the country and the world, so I am very much interested in what you are doing and how my music plays a part in that.

I am also very interested in telling you more about the music, or answering any questions you have about it. For example, I can provide program notes, or clarify accidentals/missing accidentals, or explain exactly what that funny squiggle means.

It also helps my professional portfolio to know who's playing what -- in some cases, you may be playing a world premiere of my piece, and that deserves a special mention.

So, let me know! Keep in touch!
