Description |
Chapada Do Corisco (Plateau of Lightning) is an orchestral impression of the region surrounding Teresina, Brazil. The area is known for its brutal summer storms and an unusual number of lightning strikes – the third most lightning prone area in the world. Scored for woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion, it portrays a gathering storm on the broad, low plains of the Poti River followed by the furious lashing of winds, rain and lightning. |
