A single movement quintet for Bb clarinet, piano, baritone saxophone, two percussion (bongos, congas, shaker, temple blocks), and electronics. 6'05" duration.
The electronics were designed as interactive sounds controlled by the five dancers in the original ballet piece. The piece may also be successfully performed with a CD recording of the electronics, or without electronics.
WaTER Dance was commissioned as a ballet piece for the 2011 International Water Technologies Convention and was performed in Norman, Oklahoma in October 2011, and at the University of Oklahoma in November, 2011 with choreography by Charlotte Hart. |
